United Methodist Women

Purpose: The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of faith whose purpose is to know God and to
experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of
mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

UMW Board Meeting: First Monday at 7:00 PM every month in the church library.
Our gift to missions in 2009 was over $4,266.
There is a General UMW meeting each quarter as well at Albemarle District meetings throughout the year.
Upcoming UMW Events with info in the church bulletin: ABC (attic, basement and
closet), Spiritual Retreat, School of Christian Mission, Bible School dinners,
UMW Annual District meeting and Conference Annual meeting, General UMW meeting
and Christmas Tea.
Hands-On Mission Projects: Birthing Kits for Haiti at Spiritual Retreat and
Health Kits for School of Christian Mission. Info is on the UMW bulletin board
at church.
