Julie Miles

Director of Youth Ministries –

Helping youth find their full potential as they grow in their faith is my passion!  Building a youth ministry team, equipping parents, and connecting with the larger faith community will be my constant focus.

I was born and raised in Union County and graduated from Wingate University with a B.S. in Sociology and a minor in Psychology.

My mother was the Christian Educator at my church, and I learned at an early age that being a part of a church community was essential to my faith journey.  I had such wonderful experiences with my church youth group that I wanted to give back to the church after I went to college. Whether it was volunteering as a Day Camp counselor,  serving as a youth counselor on Sunday nights or going on retreats, my joy was found with the youth!

I have felt a call to serve this church through youth ministry.  Working with middle and high schoolers seems to be the home I was looking for at Central. You’ll find me jumping right in with the youth whether it’s on a scavenger hunt, team building activity, worship, or a silly photo.

Family is a vital part of my life, and I love spending time with them.  Of course, my family includes my chocolate lab, Charlotte.
