The Central Link - 7/20/2025

This week, we’re kicking things off with our very first Central App Open House! Join us on Monday, July 21 at 5:30 P.M. in Central Hall for a casual session on how the app works and why it matters. This is a great chance to connect, learn, and make the most of the tools we’ve created to bring our church family closer together.

We’re having a church yard sale NEXT Saturday and there are a few great ways you can be part of it. You can set up your own table for just ten dollars and sell your own items, keeping all of your earnings. If you’d rather donate items for the church to sell, you can drop them off Monday through Wednesday from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. or on Friday before the sale. You’re also welcome to bring your things and sell them at the church table if that works better for you. All proceeds will go towards Central's Missions. This month’s Shareback is supporting Chalk It Up to Love, a school supply collection and distribution that helps local Title One schools start the year strong. Your donations will go directly to students and teachers who need a little extra support to kick off the school year. Let’s come together to make a difference in our community and show a little love through something as simple as a box of pencils or a pack of notebooks. Collection bins are located in the narthex and at the shareback table (next to the Choir Room). Thank you for giving generously! Love to sing? Interested in the Music Ministries? Not ready for a big commitment? Come sing with the Summer Choir! This is a relaxed way to serve the Lord in song! Join us each Sunday until August 31 at 9:20 A.M. in the choir room!

Join Nathan Clements, organist for an evening full of the majestic sounds of Central's 3-manual, 41-rank Casavant Pipe Organ! Enjoy works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Handel, Purcell, Fauré and others! There will be quite a few hymn arrangements also! Hope to see you there!

To turn notifications on:

1. Open your Central App
2. Click the person icon at the top right
3. Scroll to App Settings
4. Click on Notifications
5. Ensure that General is toggled on and lights up green
6. You are good to go! Now you won't miss any communication from the church!

To Log In:

1. Tap the person icon at the top right
2. Tap Login or Sign Up
3. Tap Create an Account (in gray above the email box, on the right)
4. Enter your first and last name, email, and create a password
5. The app should remember your password so you won’t need to log in every time
    If you choose not to create an account or skip the password, you may miss out on important features like event registration and personalized updates.

Caswell 2025 is coming quickly! Make sure that you have filled out all forms, returned them to Julie, and have registered through the church app or website! You can access the event page where registration takes place by clicking the button below.
