Grace & Mercy Circle
The Grace and Mercy Circle meets the 2nd Monday of every month, either virtually or in person. Our next meeting is Monday, October 13.

Common Heart Food Pantry
Common Heart will set up a mobile food pantry at Central on Tuesday, October 14. Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up at 8 AM. If you are able to volunteer, please click on the link below, or sign up on our sign up sheet in the Crossroads. More information will be sent to volunteers as the event approaches.
Birthday Club - Thursday October 16
October's Birthday Club will be on Thursday, October 16 at Logan's Roadhouse in Monroe at 11:30 AM. Jolene Kurtz and Jeanne Mackay are this month's hosts.
Indoor Yard Sale & Bake Sale
On Saturday, October 18th, we will have a church-wide indoor yard sale, combined with a bake sale.
To make this successful, we need all church members to identify items they no longer use. Start getting your "treasures" together and see how much time you can donate. Know that all help is welcomed and appreciated!
You can rent a table for $10 and sell your own items or donate items to be sold with profits going to benefit our church's budget. Profits from the bake sale will benefit the UWF.
The sale will be open from 9 am - 1 pm and will be held in the Family Life Center. Set up for the event will take place on Friday, October 17 from 3 pm - 7 pm.
A schedule for workers will be available at the Crossroads starting Thursday, October 9. If you have questions, please contact the church office.

Children’s Sabbath is almost here!
Join us on Sunday, October 19, 2025 during both worship services as our children help lead us in worship at Central UMC Monroe.
Come celebrate the gifts, voices, and faith of our youngest disciples. We encourage all our Central children to attend both services!
Please look for sign-up sheets following our services to volunteer for this event or contact Erica Kirby to volunteer or with any questions.

We are excited to invite you to be part of one of Central’s favorite community traditions. Every year, families from our church and neighborhood come together for a safe, fun, and festive evening filled with candy, costumes, and creative trunks.

Trunk or Treat
Save the Date for Central UMC's Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 31 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. More information to follow.
Central Friends
Central Friends is a social group from the church who had been meeting for 20 years. The Covid-19 virus shut us down until 2025.
We meet the second Thursday of each month (except June, July and August) for a noon potluck lunch, fellowship, educational and entertaining programs. Usually a day trip is planned in April or May and again in October.
We welcome couples and singles regardless of age. All we ask is that you bring a dish to pass (whether it is homemade or bought).
November Trip...
During our November meeting on 11/13, we will take a trip to JAARS in Waxhaw. More information will follow on that.
