This Week's Opportunities for Connection

Stewardship-Consecration Sunday- October 25th

Join us for a special Sunday as we come together in prayer, worship, and fellowship to celebrate God's faithfulness and commit ourselves to Central's continued ministry.

We will begin the morning with a Churchwide Prayer Gathering in Central Hall from 9:15–9:45 a.m. in place of our regular Sunday school classes. Everyone is invited to unite our hearts, seek God's presence, and pray for our church, our community, and one another.
Following our 10:00 a.m. Consecration Sunday worship service, we'll gather in the Family Life Center for a Celebration Luncheon at 11:15 a.m.

Please let us know if you plan to attend the luncheon and what dish you would like to bring by completing the sign-up below.

We look forward to sharing this meaningful day with our Central family!

Trunk or Treat Trunk Sign Up- October 31st

Central’s Trunk or Treat is coming up on October 31st, and we’d love for our Central members and friends to be part of the fun!

It’s a fun way for our church family to help welcome our community and make the evening special. You can be as simple or creative as you’d like! If you need any props or costumes, reach out to Julie to see what is available at the church. Also, plan to bring candy to pass out at your trunk.

Ongoing Opportunities for Connection

October Shareback- Candy Collection Drive

Central's Trunk or Treat! Collection has begun! About 800 people from the community came through last year, and we need all the help we can get to make sure there is enough candy for everyone! You can drop off candy donations in the narthex, church office, or the Crossroads. Contact Julie Miles with any questions. jmiles@centralumcmonroe.org

Communion Steward Volunteers

We are in need of Communion Stewards for our worship services on November 1 and December 6. Stewards assist with the distribution of communion during the first Sunday service of the month.

You can sign up in a variety of ways: in person during Sunday service, by speaking to Erica Kirby, calling the office at 704-289-2186, or clicking one of the links below:

Future Opportunities for Connection

All Saints Sunday- November 1st

On All Saints Sunday, we pause to remember and give thanks for the precious lives of those who have gone before us, especially the beloved members of our Central family who have entered eternal rest this past year. Their faith, love, and witness continue to be part of the story of our church.

We invite you to join us for this special time of worship as we remember those we hold dear, celebrate the communion of saints, and find comfort and hope in God's promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Youth & Family Bonfire- November 8th

Cool weather, a warm fire, and great fellowship! Central Youth is heading out for an afternoon and evening of fun around the bonfire on Sunday, November 8, from 3:15 to 8:00 P.M..

Youth families are welcome to join us, too! We'll meet at the church at 3:15 p.m. and travel together on the church bus.

Please RSVP to Julie by Friday, November 5. We hope to see you there!

Caring for One Another at Central

At Central, caring for one another is an important part of who we are as a church family.

Whether you are facing illness, grief, a difficult season, or simply need someone to listen, you don’t have to walk through it alone.

Central offers several caring ministries, including pastoral care and visitation, Stephen Ministry, and professional counseling. Each provides support, encouragement, and a caring presence when you need it most. Sometimes the first step is simply letting someone know you need care.

We invite you to learn more about these ministries and the ways Central can walk alongside you.

Central is here to care for you — in every season of life.
