Julie Miles

Director of Youth Ministries

Julie is passionate about helping youth find their full potential as they grow in their faith, building a youth ministry team, equipping parents, and connecting with the larger faith community!

She was born and raised in Union County and graduated from Wingate University with a B.S. in Sociology and a minor in Psychology.

Her mother was the Christian Educator at my church, and I learned at an early age that being a part of a church community was essential to my faith journey. She remembers many wonderful experiences with her own church youth group. Those memories led her to want to give back to the church after she went to college. Whether it was volunteering as a Day Camp counselor, serving as a youth counselor on Sunday nights or going on retreats, her joy was always found with the youth!

Julie has felt a call to lead this church through youth ministry.  Working with middle and high schoolers seems to be the home she was looking for at Central. You can find her jumping right in with the youth whether it’s on a scavenger hunt, team building activity, worship, or a silly photo.

Family is a vital part of her life, and she loves spending time with them.  Of course, her family includes her famous chocolate lab, Charlotte, who also happens to be our “youth mascot”!
