Welcome

Central is a place where anyone can meet Jesus, where everyone is welcome, and where everyone can engage in life-giving community. At Central, we believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory.
We offer two styles of worship on Sundays; traditional and modern, each with their own feel.
Our pastors rotate through the two services, providing a rich learning environment. Children are also always welcome in worship; however, we always offer a nursery for our youngest visitors.
Sunday School classes are also always available for all ages.

When We Worship in the Summer

Summer Combined Worship

Sunday Mornings at 10:00 A.M.

For the summer months of July and August, Central moves to a Combined Service format! This means that there is only ONE Combined Service at 10:00 A.M. in the Sanctuary! These services allow our congregation to grow in fellowship with one another as we all Worship together as One Body In Christ. Each of these services includes elements from both the Traditional and Modern Worship styles and allows everyone to experience something new.

Dinner Church

Tuesday Evenings at 6:00 P.M.

This brief service located in the Family Life Center, includes a free meal, fellowship, and a worship experience in a casual, laid-back atmosphere. Come join us as we connect around God’s table. All are welcome!

When We Worship throughout the Year

Modern Worship

Sunday Mornings at 9:00 A.M.

This informal life-filled service located in Central Hall is inspiring and uplifting. 801Praise! our praise team, leads the singing in this service, which features a variety of contemporary Christian music. You will feel the Spirit of God through the music, prayer and biblical message in a relaxed setting.

Traditional Worship

Sunday Mornings at 11:00 A.M.

This service is held in the grand and spacious Sanctuary surrounded not only by stained glass windows, but the deep love of acceptance, and the comfort of cherished religious traditions. This formal worship service follows a printed order of worship, with music led by our chancel choir and our mighty 3-manual 41-rank Casavant organ.

What To Expect

Service Timeframe

A typical service will last about 60 minutes and will include music, fellowship, a sermon, and prayer.

Sunday School

Sunday School takes place between the services from 10-11am. Classes are available for all ages. For more information, see the Sunday School page under Connect.

Children

Children's worship, a worship service just for children. takes place during the modern service. Children in grade school are encouraged to remain in worship. Sunday school is also available. See the Children's page for more information.

The Crossroads

The Crossroads is our gathering space where you can enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee and snacks while you socialize. It is open every Sunday from 9:30 –10:30 A.M.. This is a great place to meet people between services.

Communion

Central celebrates Communion each first Sunday of the month. As a United Methodist congregation, Central practices an open table where all are welcome.
